Vintage Sunburst Wall Clock English Electric Co Ltd Gilt Painted Art Deco Rare.

Here is a fabulous old English Electric Co Ltd, Art Deco Sunburst wall clock.

Please note, since I took the original images I have swapped the new hands over for the old ones as they are much prettier and more refined. Please see the last image.

Given its age of around 100 years it's in remarkable condition and I think it's rather rare.

The markings inside show the EE logo and the English Electric Co branding.

It does not have the original movement inside because it wasn't working when I acquired the clock and I converted it to a quartz battery movement. I will send the clock with the movement I removed, which is Swiss Made, along with the original electrical wires. Having said that, I don't know if the movement I removed is original? I have included the parts in the image for your reference so you can decide for yourself.

Battery not included but it requires an AA size.

The English Electrical Company was founded shortly after the First World War and was an amalgamation of five companies which specialised in the manufacture of armaments, munitions and aeroplanes.

It's a lovely clock that just oozes history. It would look fabulous in a period or themed room or as a contrasting piece in more modern surroundings. Equally, given its history and pedigree, it would be a splendid addition to a clock collection.
