Il modello 201 era la versione di valore del ben più noto 501, ed era confezionato con un tessuto denim Amoskeag di 9 oz.

Il modello 201 non aveva il tessuto XX che ha “girato” il suo nome al ben più conosciuto 501.

Il denim XX era il prodotto top tra i tessuti di Amoskeag, e un tessuto meno costoso è stato usato per produrre il modello 201. Tuttavia il modello 201 era più robusto del 501.

In realtà, molti jeans 201 sono stati costruiti con il denim XX utilizzando lotti di tessuto che presentavano piccole irregolarità, come nodi e palline.
