The Scarpa Charmoz boot has been heavily updated, bringingthis popular mountain boot bang up to date. Now featuring B2 Cramponcompatibility and an innovative OutDry® Waterproof membrane, thats one pieceand laminated to the outer fabric of the boot.
The Charmoz is a real do it all mountain boot, ideal foralpine trekking, Welsh scrambles or Scottish winter climbs. The uppers are madeout of, lightweight and tough, L-Tech and Microtech synthetic leather and usesan Outdry® membrane which is ultra-breathable, fully waterproof and verydurable. The inclusion of Memory foam, Autofit Collar, a renewed lacingsystem and the fact that they're built on the very popular and modern NAG lastmeans that the fit is supportive where it needs to be, precise and yet will fita wide variety of foot shapes and volumes.
All of this innovation and quality sits on top of the newPentax Precision II XT sole unit, Vibram outsole and is crampon rated to B2.

Boot Sole
·Developed by Scarpa for their Rebel range offootwear, the NAG last in the sole was designed to provide exceptional comfortfor technical use with a strong emphasis on focusing the climbing power overthe toe / front of the boot. This creates a more precise, technical mountainfit.
·Sandwiched between the sole and the footbed isScarpas ACTIV Impact Technology. This system used for sole construction usesmaterials with physical and chemical characteristics, meaning its able toabsorb negative impact with the ground, increasing shock absorption andmaximising the energy used in the movement.
·On the front of the Vibram sole is a flatter,thinner region appropriately named "climbing zone". This allows morefeel underfoot and increases the practicality while climbing or duringapproach.
Boot Collar & Lacing
·Scarpas Autofit Collar massively increases thecomfort around the back of the foot by adding padding to specific areas andshaping it in a way that reduces stress that rests on the Achillis and malleousarea.
·Adding further comfort is a memory foam system.The way this works is the natural heat of your foot will warm up the memoryfoam attached to the heel of the boot, therefore moulding it to your foot andproviding a more secure fit as your foot is in contact with the upper of theboot a lot more than without.
·This technical solution to a better fit isextremely light and breathable and will recover back to its original shapeafter every use.
·Scarpas Flex Point allows the ankle to movewith complete freedom, even in the stiffest of boots whist maintaining supportand confidence on all terrain.
·To increase the fit even further in the Charmozis Scarpas speed lacing system. Integrated within the upper are specificallydesigned eyelets to allow the laces to pass through freely and withoutstrenuous effort, making it simple and easy to adjust the volume and fit of theboot.
·This system allows the boot to wrap around thefoot in a far more customisable and superior way.
Outer Boot
·Designed and constructed to last in mountainousterrain; the Charmoz is wrapped in a full 360 degree rubber rand to offerincreased durability, protection and abrasion resistance against rocks andtechnical paths.
Inner Boot
·A fabric called Outdry have set out torevolutionise the waterproof system used for footwear by looking at what iscurrently wrong with membrane fabrics and setting out to fix it.
·The way this works is that the waterproof,breathable membrane is directly bonded to the external layer of the shoe,perfectly sealing any possible water entry point.
·Another benefit to this technology is thatbecause the membrane is attached to the inside of the outer fabric, the wateris stopped straight away rather than after it has passed through many layers offabric to the mid of the boot. As a result, the Outdry technology is notan additional membrane, but is a new innovation in waterproof fabrics.
