DESCRIPTION

Theophile Steinlen (1859-1923) was a French Art Nouveau painter. He depicted Montmartre often, as well as his daughter Collette; he also did poster art for cabaret owner Aristide Bruant.

Illustrated with one hundred marvellous examples of the artists work in colour.

With a foreword by Camille de Saint Croix.

The H. Piazza et cie. edition of this work.


CONDITION

In a full cloth binding. Externally a trifle worn, with marks to the spine and ink stains to the front board, as well as some wear to the extremities and head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are a touch age-toned but otherwise clean.
